The 25th Anniversary of Siggraph (Special Interest Group for Computer Graphics) held to their tradition by including a teapot on the back cover of the 25th Anniversary Siggraph Journal. Click on teapot to download your own self assembly of a teapot.

At first thought, there does not seem to be any connection between the teapot and computer graphics until one realizes that the teapot presents a great challenge to the computer graphics designer. Why? The teapot has the most complicated surface areas to render in three dimensions using computer graphic software.

The Special Interest Group for Computer Graphics (Siggraph) in 1989 put out the "call for teapots" for a competition for the front cover of their annual magazine. Computer graphic artists from all over the world submitted their computer generated teapots. Here shown are those computer generated teapots that were submitted to the judges. As time permits there will be added new teapots to this gallery. So save this bookmark and come back often to see the entire collection.
