On the side edge of the tray there is a small copper tupe which you attach small rubber tubing to so as to drain the water when cleaning the tea pots.
This a very easy operation to do, and the drainage can easily be placed in any container of choice. If you purchase a Tea Caddy you can place a small urn under the serving table top.
