The feelings that were released from the September 11, 2001 WTC tragedy in New York City went very deep into the human psyche and soul. It has also has gone deeply into the native American Indian's very connection to the source of all life force; i.e.... the "Great Spirit". These necklaces from Buffalo Woman are very much infused with the wanting for centeredness in our lives. The "sacred seven stitch" is here displayed with intricate mandalas of the spirit adorned with natural gem stones and shells. The delicacy and vibrancy achieved with these natural materials testifies to the artistic achievement of the native American Indian's persoanl spirit enabling them to encapsulate their "Great Spirit" within a natural mandala weaving.
